Indonesia Java International Destination – East Java – Gong Cave, Pacitan

The Gong Cave situated in the Pacitan Regency of the eastern part of Java, is one of the important Indonesia Java International Destination. The Goa Gong cave consists of stalagtit and stalagmite making it one othe beautiful caves in whole region of South East Asia. This Goa Gong cave which is one of the Indonesia Java International Destination, measures two hundred and fifty six meters in depth and it also consists of five numbers of pools. The pools that are situated inside the Goa Gong caves are Jiwo pool, Rogo pool, Ralung Nisto pool, Kamulyan pool and Pnagurjpan pool. These pools are believed to have magical powers through which many diseases can be cured. On every Friday, traditional music is played in these caves with an instrument called Jaranan Gong which gives the hardest sound compared to other musical instruments. There are 12 numbers of rooms in this cave and it contains one natural bath and seven numbers of springs. This cave is situated towards the west part of the Pacitan city and is approximately at a distance of 30km from the city. It will take forty five minutes for people to reach this city which is in the Punung district of Bomo village by any vehicle.
